Athletics

Waldo International School offers a range of after-school atheletics for parents to choose from.

Sports are essential to building character in children. They encourage cooperative play and teamwork while teaching children about healthy competition and striving to succeed. Children also benefit by further development of their fine and gross motor skills as well as helping them to focus and strategy. Children engaging in sports often become more aware of their bodies, stretching and leading an active lifestyle.

Fencing

The Fencing Club is an excellent opportunity to introduce your children to the art of fencing. In this club, students will learn the Sabre technique, including the various steps, rules, and regulations of fencing. The equipment will be provided for the club class. Fencing is a multifaceted sport that fosters flexibility, coordination, strength, and cardiovascular fitness. Fencing is a popular sport within the Ivy League school community and can offer valuable advantages for your child’s future. Our experienced coach, Dalton Walker, will lead both groups. Coach Walker’s journey in fencing began at Cobra Club in 2010, and he boasts the titles of a USA Fencing National Champion and NCAA All-American winner. He is enthusiastic about sharing his passion for this sport with The Waldo School community.
